Maintain fire safety equipment

Train your employees

Training your employees can be a great way of improving standards across your company and strengthening fire safety practices. Give someone the role of fire safety marshall

This year, send a member of staff on a fire safety marshall course.

Training courses can often be completed within the space of a few hours and the person receiving the training will learn what to do in the event of a fire and how to guide others to safety.

They’ll also learn how to use a fire extinguisher and will be educated on whether or not to try and tackle a small fire themselves or leave it to the fire service.

At the end of the course, your employee will receive a certificate as proof of their attendance.
