19 March 2015

Smoking Shisha

A Shisha bar had refused orders by the fire department to close down, after the bar was called a ‘death trap’, it continued to host guest, although the fire exit was constantly blocked by barrels of Diesel. The Shisha bar which was called ‘The Oasis Lounge’ in Hulme has eventually the 6 of the employers be convicted due to a continued breach of the fire safety. The safety breaches ranged from not only the blocked fire exit, but the fact the bar was covered with a flammable marquee, with shisha pipes themselves causing a fire risk, as you have lit coals on top of water pipes to smoke flavoured tobacco from. The bar was finally torn down in 2013, and after three weeks in court, 3 people were found guilt and 3 pleaded guilty, they are yet to be given there sentence.
