Total Fire Group: A BAFE Registered Organisation

June was a milestone month for the Total Fire Group team. This past month, we undertook our 13th annual BAFE SP 205 surveillance visit. This event wasn’t just another routine audit. It reaffirmed of our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in life safety fire risk assessments. 

Our journey with the BAFE SP 205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme began in 2012 when we became the fourth company in the UK to achieve this prestigious certification. Over the past twelve years, we have consistently met and exceeded the scheme’s rigorous requirements. Through this hard work, our team has never received a single “non-conformity” from auditors throughout our time on the scheme.

Our track record speaks volumes about our team’s dedication to competence and excellence. Achieving compliance with the BAFE SP 205 Scheme involves stringent processes and meticulous attention to detail. The fact that we have maintained this standard without any issues for 12 years is truly a testament to the work of everyone at TFG.

The Journey to Becoming BAFE certified Validators

In addition to our annual surveillance audit, we also invited NSI to site witness the fire risk assessments (FRAs) conducted by three of our fire risk assessors. This audit was part of their journey to become “Validators” under the BAFE SP 205 Scheme. We are thrilled to announce that all three assessors passed their audits successfully. This achievement is more than just a personal milestone for the assessors. It signifies a step forward for the entire TFG team. We consistently push for the professional development of our staff, giving them the tools and knowledge to do their best for our clients.

With these new Validators, we are now in a position to apply for their acceptance onto Tier 3 of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) fire risk assessors register. Being on Tier 3 allows our assessors to complete and validate FRAs in complex buildings. This capability underscores both our commitment to professional development and operational excellence. This advancement will both enhance the skills of our team and expand our service offerings.
